He founded Run Artist Run in 2022 to fill a critical gap in strategic funding support for individual artists and artist-run initiatives. He has supported hundreds of artists to refine their stories and see their projects through realization.

Sofia Navarrete Zur is a Mexican-British creative researcher, documentary photographer, and visual anthropologist based in Mexico City. She has worked across Mexico, Guatemala, and the U.S focusing on themes of gender inequality, resilience, memory, and identity through the psychological and emotional experiences of conflict, migration, and marginalization.
Her work has received support from the Fulbright Program, the National Geographic Society, the International Women's Media Foundation, and The Harnisch Foundation. Sofia’s projects have been published in El País, BBC, Elle France, Marie Claire, National Geographic LIFT, Australian Geographic, More To Her Story, Animal Politico, and Women Photograph’s 2024 Year in Pictures photo book. Her academic research has appeared in the Journal of Behavioral Sciences, Equis Justicia para las Mujeres, and UN Women. Her photography has been exhibited in Mexico City, France, and the U.S. and she has recently been shortlisted for the Marilyn Stafford 2024 FotoReportage Award.

SIMEON W. BROWN
Simeon W. Brown is a dedicated academic, musician, and advocate for the creative arts. A Ph.D. Candidate in Musicology at Princeton University, Simeon’s doctoral research explores how co-existing pluralistic societies in Medieval Crete led to the creation of new music traditions. With his deep experience in academic writing, Simeon brings a wealth of knowledge on how to communicate complex ideas clearly and succinctly. This skill has allowed Simeon to secure several fellowships and grants like the Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation Grant, the American Musicological Society, Jane LaRue Research Grant, the Princeton University, GradFUTURES Social Impact Fellowship, and many others.
